Long Beach is set to welcome 2025 with a dazzling display of fireworks on New Year's Eve, offering residents and visitors two opportunities to celebrate along the waterfront. The Downtown Long Beach Alliance (DLBA) has announced fireworks shows scheduled for 9:00 PM and midnight on December 31, 2024.
The 9:00 PM display is tailored for families and those seeking an earlier celebration, while the midnight show will mark the official start of the new year. Both displays can be viewed from various vantage points along the waterfront, including Shoreline Park and Shoreline Village.
In addition to the fireworks, several local establishments are hosting special events to enhance the festivities:
Aquarium of the Pacific: Hosting a New Year's Eve Night Dive from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM, featuring live music, DJs, karaoke, and a confetti countdown at midnight.
The Bungalow: Offering a celebration with DJs, premium cocktails, and views of Alamitos Bay, culminating in a midnight fireworks display.
Harbor Breeze Cruises: Providing a New Year's Eve Cruise aboard La Espada, featuring a cash bar, finger foods, live DJ, and a champagne toast at midnight.
Queen Mary: Hosting the "Auld Lang Shine" event, offering global-themed entertainment, live music, and a spectacular fireworks display.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure optimal viewing spots and to consider utilizing public transportation or ride-sharing services due to anticipated large crowds.
